Genesis of a new home (a collaborative story by David and Elisheva)

In the beginning there was emptiness and open spaces, and the breeze pushed dust around the surface of all of it.

On the first day the family bought the house and moved all their furniture into it. Then they walked around the house and said with glee, "Dude! It's ours!!"

On the second day the family bought light bulbs and said "LET THERE BE LIGHT!!!" and there was. Then they walked around the house in the light, and said one to the other, "Dude! It's ours!"

On the third day the family sorted all the rooms, putting all the furniture and household things away in the right places. While they were there, they did a bit of gardening in the yard, and arranged the houseplants inside. Then they walked around the house, smelling the flowers and the new house smell and they said, "Dude! It's ours!"

On the fourth day the family brought their pet fish and their terrarium to the new house. They tapped the glass walls of the tanks and said to their pets, "Dude! This house is ours!"

On the fifth day the family brought their dog and cat over to see the house. They pet their furry friends and told them, "Dudes! This house is ours!"

On the sixth day the family moved into the house, had friends over for dinner, and spent their first night in their new house. Just before they went to bed, they hugged each other and giggled, "Dudes! It's really, totally, awesomely OURS!"

On the seventh day the family lazed around on their comfy couches, watched tv, played board games, chatted on the Internet and enjoyed their new home. And the house was really theirs.
